First Aid Online
- Add this site to your bookmarks!!!
- Surprisingly, online first aid help is very hard to find. Many companies will sell you a first aid kit, or offer courses, but getting FAST help on how to treat shock, poisoning, choking, injuries, etc is almost impossible.
- This site fills the bill perfectly. The information is straightforward, accessing the site is fast, there are no large graphics to download. It's a great resource, and should top your bookmarks list.
Merck Physicians Desk Reference
- The Web Walker maintains a great web site (The Web Surfer's Report) and mailing list of humor, political satire, and hot web sites. One of the few mailings worth joining, in my opinion.
- The Merck Physicians manual is another great medical resource. Heard about carpal tunnel syndrome? Want to see what it is? This is the site for you.
Web-A-Sketch!
- Etch-a-sketch comes to the web. You get a blank screen, and click with the mouse to enter points. It connects the points in straight lines. Just like the real Etch-a-sketch, but diagonals are easier.
- This is a clever little site, a fun way to spend a little time. Be sure to check out the award winning entries - there are folks out there with lots of talent, and too much time on their hands.
- Oh, yes. When drawing, the "clear" button wipes out the WHOLE IMAGE, not just the latest changes. Just like the real thing.
Fun With Barney
- This is not a site for little children - it's a site for Mommy when the child is sleeping after listening to "I Love You, You Love Me..." 187 times.
- You start out with a healthy Barney, and get your choice of knife, gun, ax, Uzi, etc. Point and click. The images gets "updated". You get status messages like "Barney is starting to feel less-than-healthy." as you continue to point and click away. Pretty funny.
- At the end of it all, you can see the 10 previous "efforts."
