Live Radio on the Internet
Listener Paula found this great site.

Live Radio on the Internet has Links to around 1200 international radio stations, local AM/FM and the usual world services. You get live feeds with RealAudio, and there's a good amount of archived broadcasts.

The site also has a digital UTC clock so you can figure out foreign times.

This is a MUST VISIT site for Real Audio fans with time on their hands.

Paula recommends the Pop music from Brazil. Check it out.

Thanks, Paula!
Windows DLL World
Bob the Old Fogey broke away from the Jail Babes long enough to find this one.

If you're like me, you install, backup, uninstall, reinstall software a lot. Once in a while, you get a message that at DLL is missing. This is the site for you. You find yourself stuck with an application without a DLL, OCX, VBX, or VXD file. Often, you're stuck. Not now. This is the best place to find the system files that you're missing. The site says that it has the largest collection of them in the world.

I poked around the site a bit, and found they have a TON of files. If you know the name of what you're looking for (from the error message), you'll have no trouble finding the file here.

Very useful! Thanks Bob, the Old Fogey!

Family Tree Maker Genealogy SiteFinder
Listener Dudley found this one. He typed in his first and last name (no middle), and although he didn't show up, his father did and it had all of his brothers and sisters, his father and grandfather. Dudley says "It had when most were born and died. I never knew what my great grandfather's name was and where he was born. We were all (including me) born in Canada. Fascinating! I'm sure some others may be interested."

The site has lots of links to info on how to research your family history, search engines (for stuff like the Social Security Data Base".

If you're into building your family history, check this site out.

Thanks, Dudley!

What a Load of Codswallop
B Weed learned about this site from a UK cab driver.

B Weed says: "I was chatting with a cab driver from Bath, UK, and he sent me the coolest URL for an American/British English translator. I've spent hours with this site, as it is very entertaining and humorous, not to mention informative. Give it a look."

It *IS* informative, entertaining and humorous. It's also very interesting to see the differences between the languages.

So - get your cookies and scones straight by checking out this site.

THanks, B Weed!

Langenberg -- Search and Get There Faster
Chuck Langenberg, webmaster for this site, submitted it.

There's a ton of search engine types here: Acronym, Area Codes, Books&Pubs, BusinessFinder, Cooking, ..., Maps, Medicine,....,Money&Stocks, News&Sports,.... The list is impressive.

You should be able to find anything you need from this site, quickly and easily.

Check it out.

Furby Autopsy
Napa Steve submitted this one - even though it doesn't have any Real Media.

These guys had one of those Furbys - the "Tickle Me Elmo" for this year. It died. They tried all possible lifesaving measures, but it was no use. The Furby was dead.

So - they sought out to determine the cause of death - by performing an autopsy.

The site is written with a sense of humor, and is worth checking out just for the descriptions and clever graphics. If you're a tinkerer - and like to know how stuff works, then you've GOT TO check out this site.

Fun stuff. Thanks, Napa Steve!

Napa Steve's Real Quickies

Napa Steve is THE MAN when it comes to finding Real Audio and Real Video sites, his finds are now a regular feature of the Web Wanderer's Report. Every week, Napa Steve will try to find one or two hot Real sites. This week he gives us two hot ones

National Gallery of Art - Van Gogh's Van Goghs: Virtual Tour
Steve says: "This is a nice site on Van Gogh from the National Art gallery. I downloaded the Live Picture plug-in and installed it without problem."

MidiCity
Napa Steve sent this in for Bob and other lovers of computer music. MidiCity is a site to showcase original musical works. This is not a site to find a Midi In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, but if you want to hear original stuff - stop by here. Cool stuff.

Thanks, NApa Steve!
